Join one of our guides on a journey to Funen in our special exhibition The Funen Painters. Art Above All! The exhibition centres on three artist couples from Funen: Anna and Fritz Syberg, Alhed and Johannes Larsen, and Christine and Sigurd Swane.

Through paintings and exquisite watercolours, the exhibition explores artistic friendships, family life and the dream of living close to nature, far from the industrialisation of Copenhagen. It also sheds light on the lives of women artists, whose work was frequently interrupted by motherhood and domestic responsibilities.

We present two to three temporary exhibitions each year. These exhibitions focus on artists or themes in 19th-century Danish art, bringing fresh and contemporary perspectives to historical works.

Price: DKK 950, plus museum admission of DKK 110 per person. No group discount is available.
