Join one of our educators for an introduction to one of Sweden’s most important artists of the Modern Breakthrough in the exhibition Hanna Hirsch Pauli – The Art of Being Free. Explore the opportunities available to Hanna Hirsch Pauli as a woman artist in Sweden and compare her experiences with those of women artists in Denmark. The exhibition also places her work in dialogue with major works of Danish art from the Modern Breakthrough in the museum’s collection.
Temporary exhibitions
We present two to three temporary exhibitions each year. These exhibitions focus on artists or themes in 19th-century Danish art, bringing fresh and contemporary perspectives to historical works.
